Ominous are a production team based around our studio in Brighton, England. We work with mainly local artists (most notably on this cd; Jessie Banks of ‘Chungking’ and ‘Andy Baron’ of The Believers) to produce tunes in our own.. ‘Ominous’ style.
Mark Carroll is the main producer behind ‘Ominous’. He has worked closely with music producers Tony Wickham and Jake Chandler on this project.

Mark Carroll
Brighton born and bred. The main man behind ‘Ominous’, Mark has been producing ‘Dub inspired’ music in Brighton for a long time. Anyone who has been in Brighton long enough will probably remember ‘Mutagen’. Mark was the man behind Mutagen, the anarcho-techno-dub band who used to play sell out gigs at the Zap Club (Brighton) in the mid nineties. They also used to put on large squat parties in the town (when you could get away with it ) and toured the free festival circuit, which is now sadly all but dead. More recently Mark was playing and singing with ‘Moksha’ a crossover folk-dub band who regularily played the concorde2 reggae all dayers, they also played the Avalon Stage at Glastonbury in 2002-2004.
